Vuori Clothing USA

Founded in 2015 in Encinitas, California, Vuori (Finnish for “mountain”) was built on a simple yet transformative vision: to create performance apparel that blurs the lines between athletic gear and everyday lifestyle wear. Inspired by the coastal California spirit—a blend of surf culture, sport, art, and the great outdoors—founder Joe Kudla sought to design clothing that felt as good as it looked, prioritizing premium comfort without sacrificing technical utility.

At the core of Vuori’s business is the "Investment in Happiness" philosophy. This is more than a slogan; it is a holistic approach that guides everything from product development to employee well-being and community building. By focusing on high-quality, long-lasting fabrics like the signature DreamKnit™, Vuori ensures that its garments are durable, moisture-wicking, and incredibly soft, designed to move seamlessly from a high-intensity workout to social life.

Sustainability and ethics are fundamental to the brand’s identity. Committed to being "happier on a healthy planet," Vuori actively works to reduce its environmental footprint through the use of recycled materials, carbon-neutral practices, and a rigorous supply chain code of conduct that ensures fair labor standards. Unlike traditional athletic brands that focus strictly on the "hardcore gym" aesthetic, Vuori fosters an inclusive, community-driven atmosphere. By partnering with local athletes, artists, and creators, they have cultivated a tribe centered around mindfulness, wellness, and balance.

Today, Vuori has evolved from a well-kept California secret into a global lifestyle icon. Despite its rapid growth and international expansion, the company remains dedicated to its original mission: inspiring a life of movement and connection, proving that performance-led apparel can be both sophisticated and deeply rooted in a purpose-driven, mindful existence.
